4Life Australia Hosts Industry Seminar

Salt Lake City, Utah (July 30, 2010) The 4Life office in Sydney’s Norwest recently hosted an event facilitated by Addisons, 4Life’s commercial lawyers and one of Australia’s longest established law firms. The topic of the half-day seminar was: “Direct Selling and Marketing—Legal Updates on Recent Regulatory Developments in Australia and New Zealand.”
Over 60 senior representatives from other direct selling organizations attended the event including Nutrimetics, NuSkin, and Usana. The CEO of the Direct Selling Association of Australia, John Holloway, introduced the seminar. Other speakers included Peter Stubbs, a partner from Simpson Grierson, New Zealand’s leading commercial law specialists.
Additional subjects covered during the seminar were: traps for direct selling companies, potential legal changes in New Zealand, and the impact these changes will have on Australia’s health food industry.
The event was a great success for both Addisons and 4Life, as congratulations were offered to Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, Evelyn Thom on her recent appointment. “Hosting this event has helped raise the profile of 4life amongst its peers,” said Evelyn. “It was a great success, with many requests for a follow-up event in a few months.”
Vice President, International Alan Michaelis: “4Life is committed to supporting educational opportunities such as this which boost the entire direct selling industry. It’s great have our Australia office, under Evelyn’s leadership, networking with industry executives to strengthen the opportunities direct selling brings to individuals throughout Australia and New Zealand.”
