Dr. Lockwood is one of the foremost experts and innovators in performance nutrition and dietary protein research. His primary focus is on dietary supplement and nutritional interventions, and their physiological effects on metabolism, body composition, performance, and health. He has more than 25 peer-reviewed research manuscripts and textbook publications to his credit and has authored and edited several hundred articles on dietary supplements, health, and fitness. Dr. Lockwood has also served as Editor-in-Chief of Muscle & Fitness and Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine while pursuing his PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to 4Life, he served as the Senior Category Director of the diet, energy, food, and beverage division at General Nutrition Centers (GNC).

Shane has been at 4Life for more than five years and has played an integral role in designing and reformulating the company’s products. With a Master’s degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Utah, he has been instrumental in furthering our understanding of 4Life Transfer Factor®, including their role in strengthening the immune system. Shane provides continual support to other 4Life departments through his work in research and development. Prior to 4Life, Shane worked as a data analyst at a genetics company that evaluated the hereditary risk factors for breast and colon cancer.

As one of the founding members of the 4Life HSAB, Dr. Bennett is an active consultant to the 4Life Research and Development team. He holds a Doctorate in Comparative Pathology from the University of California, Davis where he worked for 25 years conducting research focused on the practical aspects of protecting food and water systems from microbes that degrade quality and pose threats to health and safety. Dr. Bennett has also done extensive research on the influence of transfer factors on antibody production and its development in immune modulations. More recently, he authored a book on the effects of inflammation and how it is modified by transfer factors and antioxidants. Dr. Bennett’s research on mammary immunity provided some of the first observations of the unique cellular immune attributes of colostrum, which led to the recognition of colostral transfer factors.

After 28 years as a pediatrician, Dr. Markowitz left his 24,000 patient practice to lead a private foundation supporting children with HIV and pursue a 4Life career. He received his medical degree, as well as a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship, from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Guess has actively participated in pharmaceutical research. His studies soon drew to an intensive study of herbal, natural, and alternative methods of preventative medicine. Dr. Guess attended graduate school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Following graduation, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and spent three years stationed at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He then attended the Howard University College of Medicine and received his Board Certification from Harvard University. After many years of operating a successful OBGYN practice in Los Angeles, Dr. Guess now serves as a clinical professor at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine where he enjoys consulting with patients and working with students.

Dr. Daibes graduated from the School of Health Professionals at the University of Missouri with a Radiological and Nuclear Medicine degree. He has served as an Assistant Professor teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Daibes has authored and co-authored over 45 research publications, over 55 scientific abstracts, and one book chapter in applied diagnostic sciences. His research interests include molecular imaging and its applications in early disease detection.

Dr. Siu-Caldera is a medical doctor who has done extensive research on the benefits of vitamin D in cancer treatment. She provides nutrition counseling with a focus on weight management, dietary and lifestyle modification, cardiovascular health, diabetes, cancer prevention, sports nutrition, and anti-aging. Dr. Siu-Caldera graduated from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala and received her PhD in Nutrition from the University of Connecticut, Storrs. She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed research papers and contributed articles in newspapers and magazines to increase public awareness on nutrition health.

Dr. Vaughan is a registered dietitian with nearly 17 years of experience in formulations and research within the dietary supplement industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Utah and a doctorate in Public Health and Epidemiology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Vaughan has been a Formulator and Researcher at 4Life for the past 10 years. During this time, he has been instrumental in the development process for many top-selling 4Life products and has worked with distributors throughout the world.

Dr. Robertson is the founder of the 4Life Health Sciences Advisory Board and an active 4Life distributor. Following a lucrative career as the Director of Emergency Services at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky, Dr. Robertson and his son Rob Robertson, III decided to start a nutritional supplement company. It was while conducting product research for their company that the two discovered the many benefits of transfer factors. Convinced of the importance of 4Life’s mission, they sold their company and became distributors. Dr. Robertson completed his education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and worked as an intern at the University’s affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Townsend is a board certified OB/GYN, specializing in gynecologic oncology. He was a professor at University of California, Los Angeles, University of Southern California, and University of California, Davis. He has introduced several unique ideas to medicine, including cryosurgery, nurse practitioners, and endometrial ablation. Dr. Townsend has authored numerous chapters in medical textbooks and co-authored nearly 100 articles in peer review journals. He still actively practices medicine, blending alternative methods with the conventional approach. He attributes his incredible health to 4Life Transfer Factor.

Dr. Matalon currently serves as the medical director of both TLC Healthcare and Health Map, and is a clinical instructor for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her hospital appointments include four facilities in the state of New Jersey. A graduate of the Utesa School of Medicine, Dr. Matalon has been actively involved in teaching, researching, and publishing throughout her career.

Dr. Tomalska completed her medical training at the Medical Academy of Lublin in Poland. She came to the United States several years ago, intending to only stay for a short visit. Right before leaving, she was introduced to 4Life which led her to decide to stay and devote herself full-time to teaching people about supporting good health. In an effort to further this cause, Dr. Tomalska currently hosts two informative radio shows called “Balsam” and “Toward Health” in Chicago, Illinois and publishes a monthly newsletter entitled “To Your Health.” She also organizes seminars on topics such as women’s health, cardiovascular health, and health for Polish families.

Yunpeng (Roc) is originally from China, where he earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Tongji University in Shanghai. He also has a Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Maryland. Roc’s expertise includes nano materials preparation, fresh-cut produce evaluation, and microbiological testing. Prior to joining 4Life, he worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, Maryland in the Agricultural Research Services lab for food safety and quality. Throughout his career, Roc has managed other research and development application labs and has optimized produce processing methods.

David Vollmer, PhD

Dr. Vollmer has enjoyed 20 years of experience in quality control and analytical laboratory management. His expertise includes technical and administrative leadership, stability testing, validation studies for new products, standard operating procedures (SOPs), production records, and product specifications. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Nebraska and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Missouri Western State University. Throughout his career, Dr. Vollmer has authored more than 20 published articles. He is the co-inventor on 12 patents involving the discovery of pharmaceutical drugs used for treating cancer and inflammation.
