Salt Lake City, UT (June 14, 2021) Longtime Team 4Life member and Brazilian Capoeira Master Jamaika (Mauro Romualdo) has been named a 2021 Utah Fellow of the Performing Arts. The Fellowship awards $5,000 to established Utah artists who exhibit exceptional creativity.

Performing Arts Fellowship Juror Sarah McCaffery, Manager of Interdisciplinary Arts, Asia Society Museum: “The six fellowship awardees possess bold visions for the future of dance. The awardees are not only exceptional dance professionals; they are leaders and advocates for their respective forms. Recognizing the transformative power of dance, they have harnessed it to impact the lives of countless students, audiences, and community members.”

Master Jamaika is a three-time consecutive National Brazilian Champion for Capoeira—a martial arts form that originated in Brazil and combines dance and acrobatics with a series of rapid and elaborate moves that involve core strength, balance, and speed. Master Jamaika began his formal training at the age of seven. By the age of 13, he was performing for tourists at the beach. He joined Team 4Life in May of 2014.

Jamaika: “I love using 4Life Transfer Factor products. They really help me feel strong, especially as a Capoeira teacher.”

4Life, the Immune System Company, and the first to bring transfer factor research to market, has offices in 25 markets to serve the company’s worldwide customers.
