National Day of Service and Remembrance

National Day of Service and Remembrance
Salt Lake City, UT (September 11, 2023) Foundation 4Life participated in a National Day of Service and Remembrance project coordinated by the Granite Education Foundation.

In a White House-issued proclamation, U.S. President Joseph R. Biden proclaimed September 11, 2023 as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance.

President Biden: “Today we remember all the heroes who were forged in the hours, days, and years that followed that terrible morning of September 11, 2001—ordinary Americans who, amidst the terror, smoke, and flames, demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness.”

In this spirit, 20 4Life volunteers assembled 600 meal kits as part of a 15,000-kit goal. They worked alongside a variety of different organizations at the Granite Education Foundation warehouse.

Over one-third of all students in the Granite School District qualify for free meals. These meal kits will give them enough to eat over the weekend when they aren’t at school.

Vice President of Global Markets Jeremy Wardle: “My family and I loved participating in this service project. We love serving local families and children, and by so doing, we become closer as a family.”
